Northeast Iowa City Hires a New Police Chief

The City of Fayette has a new police chief.

At the city council's regular meeting on this week, the city has agreed to hire current Fayette police officer Benjamin Davis to the post. He will take over as chief on Saturday (May 12, 2018).

Current Fayette Police Chief Richard Pisanti resigned last month, to accept a position in his native Florida.

Before coming to Fayette in 2016, Davis was a police officer in Strawberry Point. Davis notes that he will begin looking for a new full time police officer to fill the vacancy, when he becomes chief.
