The No. 1 Wartburg wrestling team won the Cornell Matman Invite on Saturday, January 17, 2015. The Knights had five wrestlers win championships.

Wartburg scored 149.5 points and 22 pins to secure the win.

Wartburg Individual Champions:
Eric Clarke (141#) won his championship match-up by decision (3-2) over Nathaniel Behnke (UW Eau Claire). Nicholas Michael (165#) scored a decision (14-8) over Javier Reyes (Luther College) for his crown. Nick Fuller (174#) shut out Sean O`Neil (UW La Crosse) for his 4-0 decision. Devin Peterson (184#) won by decision (9-4) over Brendan Schott (Wartburg College) to stand on top of the podium. It went to a tie breaker decision to award Gerard Roman (197#) the championship over Matthew Hechsel (Augsburg) (TB-1 4-3).
