A Spillville man faces charges after an incident involving a domestic disturbance, a pursuit, and a school lockdown.

Just before 10am Wednesday, the Winneshiek County Sheriff received a 911 call, concerning a disturbance in Spillville.

At the residence, a man, identified as 51 year old Jeffery Kuennen, was reportedly armed with a loaded handgun; other people were inside the home, as well as a young child.

A tactical unit from the Sheriff's office responded, but Kuennen fled in his pickup, armed with the gun. He was later pulled over and arrested without any further incident.

During that time, the nearby CFS Catholic School in Spillville was put on lockdown as a precaution.

Kuennen is being charged with aggravated domestic assault, aggravated child endangerment, aggravated eluding, aggravated carrying weapons, and two counts of interference with official acts.
