A report of gunshots in a Fayette County town has resulted in the arrest of a Wadena man.

Shortly after 9pm Tuesday, the Fayette County Sheriff received a 911 call, regarding shots fired at a residence on Cline Street in Wadena.

Responding officers took 49 year old Daniel Allsup into custody, on charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).

Deputies searching the house found numerous firearms and amunition, along with reloading equipment, and some marijuana.

Allsup was taken to the Fayette County jail, where he was held until his initial court appearance.

No one was injured.

The Iowa State Patrol and West Union Police assisted the Fayette County sheriff.
