NE Iowa Driver Collides with Bridge Guardrail

A Northeast Iowa man is being cited for causing a one-car accident in rural Buchanan County.

It happened at about 5:30pm Saturday (Dec. 10), near the intersection of 120th Street and Highway 187, just north of Lamont.

44 year old William Jacobs of Lamont, was southbound on 187 when he lost control. The car struck a bridge guardrail, and stopped in the roadway.

No one was injured; Jacobs is being charged with Failure to Maintain Control.

The Buchanan County Sheriff was assisted by the Lamont Fire Department.
