A weekend accident in rural Fayette County has resulted in several charges against the driver.

The crash happened at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, south of Arlington on Highway 187.
A vehicle driven by 45 year old James Quinn Junior of Madison, Wisconsin, was southbound on the highway, when his car left the road, entered a ditch and rolled.

No one was injured, but Quinn was arrested for driving while revoked, OWI 3rd offense, failure to maintain control, no insurance, and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.

The car was totaled. The accident is still under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff.

Also in Fayette County, weather conditions are sited as a factor in two accidents that happened minutes apart in the same spot north of Hawkeye.

The first crash occurred around 1 a.m. Saturday on County Road W-14. A pickup driven by 25 year old Michael Thibadeau of Hawkeye, slid out of control, into a ditch, and struck a tree.

About 15 minutes later, a car driven by 44 year old Kevin Busta of West Union slid out of control, entered the ditch and struck Thibadeau's pickup.

No one was injured; Thibadeau's pickup had $4,500 in damage, while Busta's car was totaled.

The accidents remain under investigation.
