Names Released in Eastern Iowa Triple Fatal

We now know the names of 3 people killed in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 380 near Swisher early Tuesday (July 5) morning.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, it happened at about 3:30am at mile marker 10 of the interstate, when a car driven by 21 year old Jordan Dietrich of Victor, was traveling south in the northbound lane.

His car collided with an oncoming car driven by 22 year old Furaha Nyabitanga of Iowa City.

Both drivers were killed, as was a passenger, 26 year old Djumapili Shabani of Cedar Rapids.

The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
