An accident involving two motorcycles injured three people in Grundy County Monday afternoon (May 29, 2017).

According to a crash report, the mishap occurred around 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of Iowa Highway 14 and County Road D25 about four miles north of Grundy Center.

The Iowa State Patrol said Michael Fuller, 70, of Dike, failed to yield at a stop sign. His motorcycle collided with a another motorcycle, driven by Craig Bencke, 65, of Altoona. The crash disabled both motorcycles.

According to troopers, both drivers and a passenger on Bencke's motorcycle -- Elaine Bencke, 62, also of Altoona -- suffered unknown injuries in the accident Fuller was taken to a Waterloo hospital for treatment. Craig and Elaine Bencke were both transported to the hospital in Grundy Center.

The accident remains under investigation.
