Motorcycle Accident Sends Man to Hospital

A motorcycle accident sent one person to the hospital Wednesday in Waterloo.

At approximately 2:52 P.M.Wednesday, Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a reported personal injury traffic accident on I-380 at the Raymond RD. Exit.

A motorcycle operated by 58 year old Robert Klein of Gilbertville had exited S. Raymond RD. and was proceeding down the on-ramp to westbound I-380 when Klein lost control of his vehicle causing it to slide on it's side before coming to rest next to a guardrail. Mr. Klein was thrown from the vehicle.

Mr. Klein received injuries to his head and right shoulder. He was not wearing a helmet. Mr. Klein was transprted to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

Deputies were assisted by the Evansdale Police and Fire Departments and the Gilbertville Police and Fire Departments.
