37 year old misty morrissey-cook, the mother of one of the children abducted in evansdale and later found murdered, has been arrested in fayette county on a violation of her pre-trial release.

Morrissey was taken into custody monday by the fayette county sheriff's office.

Morrissey and another resident had been arrested in november, after an investigation determined that she was allegedly selling illegal drugs in her home in west union.

Morrissey was later released on pre-trial, to the department of correctional services, adult probation and parole.

On monday, morrissey's pre-trial release was revoked, for several violations, including the use of controlled substances. Morrissey was taken to the fayette county jail in west union, and at this time, is being held with no bond. The drug charges from her november arrest are still pending.

Morrissey is the mother of lyric cook-morrissey, who, along with her cousin, were found murdered in rural bremer county in december of 2012. Lyric and elizabeth collins, who were ten years old and 8 years old respectively, were abducted in july of 2012, while riding bicycles in evansdale. No one has been arrested in the case, which remains under investigation.
