Morning Accident Sends One To The Hospital

Earlier today (Tuesday, July 5th) Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries.

Just after 9:00 A.M. this morning, Black Hawk County Sheriff Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries on Shrock Road at Kimball.

Investigation revealed that a 2008 Mazda driven by Krystal Monroe, 30, of Waterloo, rearended a 2002 Buick LeSabre, driven by Mary Turner, 63, of Waterloo. A passenger Rose Pierce, 85, also from Waterloo, was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Her condition has not been released.

Ms. Monroe was cited for failing to stop in a clear assured distance.
