Metallica and Soundgarden lead a bulging list of bands slated to play next year's Rock on the Range.

Set for May 19-21, 2017, at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, the 11th annual event will also include appearances by Primus, Korn, the Offspring, Coheed and Cambria, Volbeat, Sum 41, Bush and Rival Sons, among many others. Check out the full lineup at Rock on the Range's website.

"We're so excited to be headlining this year's Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, OH," Metallica said on Facebook. "We'll be seeing you the third weekend in May, Ohio!"

General ticket sales begin at 10AM Friday at RockontheRange.com, Ticketmaster and the MAPFRE Stadium box office. Weekend, premier and camping passes are available, and there is a layaway option. The weekend field general admission tickets start at $200; the weekend VIP tickets start at $350. Weekend stadium general admission tickets are $100; a four-pack of weekend stadium general admission tickets are $380. The premier hotel packages include festival tickets and T-shirts.

"Rock on the Range is the pinnacle rock festival in America," Korn's Jonathan Davis said in a news release. "I always feel that in the crowd and can’t wait for our headline set in May. We’re gonna come at you with everything we’ve got – expect a few surprises."

Metallica arrive having just released their well-received new album, Hardwired ... to Self-Destruct. Soundgarden, meanwhile, are at work on their first album since 2012's King Animal.
