The 23rd annual Hot Rod Power Tour is expected to bring together more than 6,000 vehicles and upwards of 100,000 spectators to Iowa.

This unique classic car show features seven days of 'shine and ride' action at seven different locations June 10-16, 2017. Two of those stops will be in Iowa. There will be thousands of Hot Rods from all over the country and beyond on display. It is billed as the largest rolling car show in the United States, maybe even the world.

After starting the caravan in Kansas City, the traveling car circus packs up and heads to the Iowa Speedway in Newton on Sunday, June 11. Activities are planned to begin at Noon. On the schedule that day, there is a Dyno Challenge for all registered participants, an autocross on the infield of the speedway, vendors, music, and many other events.

On June 12th, the classic caravan heads east to the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport, Iowa. They will travel along Highway 6 (for the most part) from Newton to the Quad Cities. Many of the same events are planned in Davenport.

After the two Iowa stops, the Hot Rod Power Tour makes stops at the University of Illinois (State Farm Center) in Champaign, Illinois; Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois; Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, Indiana; and Bowling Green Warren County Regional Airport in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Classic car owners are encouraged to register their car and join this awesome vintage display. You can sign up (read more) for one day or for multiple days. The cost is $50 for one day and $119 (subject to change).
