A man who allegedly robbed a Marshalltown convenience store has been arrested in the Cedar Valley.

Davante Hines was captured by Waterloo police on Tuesday (Dec. 30, 2014). Warrants for his arrested were issued by Marshalltown police following an armed robbery at a Kum and Go convenience store on December 20th. Hines was wanted on charges of first-degree robbery and going armed with intent.

Marshalltown police believed that the 21-year-old Hines was staying at a Waterloo residence and notified officials in Waterloo. Members of the Violent Crime Apprehension Team located Hines at a residence in the 700 block of Hammond Avenue. Hines ran from the home when officers arrived, but was captured after a short foot pursuit.

Hines was transported to the Black Hawk County jail, where he was booked on the Marshalltown warrants. Waterloo police filed an additional charge of interference with official acts in connection with the foot chase.
