Friday, May 27, 2015 was one of those nights that Farley Speedway promoter, Keith Simmons, once again proved to the fans and drivers that if it does not rain at his tracks, the races will go on.

Rain was all around the area but the Farley Speedway remained dry and the races were run and the final checkered flag of the night waved just prior to 10:00 PM as light rain moved in.

The 25 lap Klein Custom Homes IMCA Late Model feature headlined Friday night’s action and despite a rocky start, the main event saw some very good racing action. Nick Marolf advanced from a 3rd row start to put his #33 “Black Magic” into the winners circle. Marolf predominately ran the high side in route to a convincing win. Jon Merfeld started last on the grid and came all the way through the pack to take second ahead of 4th row starter Tyler Bruehning.

For the second time in the last three weeks of racing, Zach Less topped a very strong field of Precision Transmission IMCA Modifieds. Less overtook early race leader JD Auringer and cruised on to the 20 lap feature win. Auringer crossed under the checkers in second ahead of Matt Gansen.

The GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Sportmods saw race winner Tyler Soppe advance from his fourth row start and hold off a late race charge by Austin Heacock to score the win. Troy Bauer came from last to third on Friday night after dropping out of his qualifying heat.

The Stock Car feature saw a couple of Independence drivers battle it out for the 15 lap main event checkers. Chris Luloff scored the win over Austin Evans, defending track champion, Jerry Miles took third.

Quinton Miller padded his point lead in the Hobby Stock division with another feature win. Miller was able to get by early leader Leah Wroten although Wroten kept her #14C in contention for the win the entire feature race. Wroten took second ahead of Dustin Chapman.

Cole McNeal won the Micro Mod main on Friday night. Racing will continue on Friday, June 5th at the Farley Speedway with hot laps at 7 and racing at 7:30pm.
