Man Seriously Hurt in Motorcycle vs Deer Accident
An eastern Iowa man is in the hospital with serious injuries, after his motorcycle struck a deer.
The accident happened at about 7pm Tuesday on Secrist Road near Marion.
A westbound motorcycle driven by 53 year old Terence McCauley of Marion, collided with a deer that had run out onto the road from a ditch.
Emergency workers found McCauley in the road, unresponsive; he was flown to University Hospitals in Iowa City, with non-life threatening injuries. He is reportedly in critical condition.
According to the Linn County Sheriff, McCauley was not wearing a helmet, and there were no passengers.
