A Waterloo man and two other Northeast Iowa residents have been arrested in Oelwein on warrants.

A Hazleton man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant pertaining to a sex abuse incident Tuesday evening (May 3, 2016). Oelwein police took David Matthews, 27, into custody on a Fayette County warrant for an original charge of 3rd-degree sex abuse. The arrest was made around 6:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Rock Island Road in Oelwein.

Earlier Tuesday, at about 3 p.m., Jennifer Westendorf, 39, of Oelwein, was arrested in the 500 block of Rock Island Road, on a Fayette County warrant for forgery.

And, a Waterloo man was taken into custody in Oelwein after officers responded to a disturbance in the 900 block of 1st Street SW Monday afternoon. Steven Lundgren, 29, was wanted on two Buchanan County warrants for failure to appear. The original charges were driving while his license is suspended, and failing to provide proof of financial liability.
