Local Man Arrested After Chase on Foot

An Oelwein man has been arrested after a short chase.

At about 11:30pm Sunday, Oelwein Police took 25 year old Jared Hill into custody, on a Black Hawk County warrant for Failure to appear in court, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and interference with official acts.

Officers made the arrest after a brief pursuit on foot, in the 300 block of 4th Avenue NE in Oelwein.
