105 cars checked into the Independence Motor Speedway on Independence Day (July 4, 2015). It was a great warm for this coming Wednesday's IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series special.

Jon Passick snared the early lead when the Budweiser IMCA Late Model A-Main roared to life. Thanks to an active battle for second place, Passick was able to pull away from the field and hide. He had built up a huge lead until a lap 21 caution tightened the field.

Ryan Dolan had worked himself into second place by the halfway point of the 25 lap feature. Even after the yellow, Dolan wasn't certain he had enough to get by Passick, but he put his ride on the highside and was able to slip Passick on the last lap for the win. Passick settled for second place.

“Honestly I had give up hope getting by him (Passick),” Dolan said while standing in the Budweiser Victory Lane. “Even with the yellow, I wasn't certain I could get by. I knew I had to use the high line to get by. I put it up there and it stuck.”

Travis Smock started ninth, but steadily worked his way through the field to finish third.

The current IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series point leader Andy Nezworski came to Independence for a test and tune night. Nezworski used the late caution to jump into the top five for a fourth place finish. Sixteenth place starter Tyler Droste rounded out the top five.

Brian Irvine dominated the Performance Bodies IMCA Modified main event. After a lap three caution, Irvine was able to springboard into the lead and pull away for the win.

“I've been struggling for a while, so much so that I wondered about moving back to stock cars,” Irvine said in the Budweiser Victory Lane. “I've been on the phone with Justin O'Brien (owner of Rage Chassis), and we finally found a set up for my driving style. We've won three straight now.”

Tony Snyder earned his second place finish. Snyder had to hold off heavy pressure from Zach Less, Troy Cordes, and Auringer during the final laps. Less came home third followed by Cordes and Auringer.

Cole Mather led flag-to-flag in the Burco Sales IMCA Stock A-Main. Phil Holtz followed Mather across the line. Norman Chesmore, Justin Temyer, and Chris Luloff fought for third in the closing laps. Temeyer snagged third place followed by Luloff and Chesmore.

Ryan King took the lead late in the Tennacity Graphics IMCA SportMod feature. Lucas Lundry tried to slip underneath, but King held him off for the win. Lundry finished just a car length behind. Tony Olson suffered a flat tire early, changed it, and he raced his way back through the field to finish third. Dakoda Sellers and Kevin Robinson finished fourth and fifth.

Shawn Kuennen won the Big Daddy Chassis IMCA Hobby Stock feature, and Tristan Cordes claimed the trophy in the RCZ Enterprises Indee Car final.
