The boil advisory for Pikes Peak State Park near McGregor, has now been lifted.

According to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, water samples taken at the park on Wednesday, have tested clean for bacteria.

The boil advisory had initially been issued on August 22nd, after the campground distribution system was hooked up to a new well.

The system had to be shock chlorinated for 24 hours, then flushed for 2 days, to remove the chlorine.

Again, the boil advisory for Pikes Peak State Park near McGregor, has been lifted. This is just in time for the long, Labor Day Holiday weekend, coming up.
