Judas Priest Discuss ‘Redeemer of Souls’ Songs ‘March of the Damned’ and ‘Crossfire’

Judas Priest are gearing up to unleash their new album ‘Redeemer of Souls’ on July 8, and we had the privilege of interviewing Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner in advance of the disc’s release.

Among the topics we discussed with the legendary metal act were two songs from ‘Redeemer of Souls,’ the single ‘March of the Damned,’ and the track ‘Crossfire.’ In talking about ‘March of the Damned,’ Halford referenced his admiration for the show ‘The Walking Dead’ while saying the tune isn’t necessarily about zombies. As for ‘Crossfire,’ Halford explains how the song offers social commentary on some of the negative consequences of organized religion.

See Rob Halford and the guys talking about those two song in the video above, and if you haven’t seen our ‘Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction’ segment with Judas Priest, watch it below, along with a few great real-life ‘Spinal Tap’ stories from Ultimate Classic Rock. Plus you can enter to win our Judas Priest contest in the form at the bottom of this post.

‘Redeemer of Souls’ is available for pre-order at iTunes.
