It was 35 years ago today that we lost a great drummer/musician and in return, we also lost a great band. It was on this day, 35 years ago, John Bonham that 32  year old John Bonham died from inhalation of his own vomit.

Luckily for us, Zeppelin is still available through their recordings so we can witness and enjoy the percussive genius that is John Bonham.

Nicknamed "The Beast" for his intense and stick slamming style, Bonham inspired many a a drummer to be more creative than the mainstream. The dude was a master.

To prove his amazing abilities and to honor the man. Here is, possibly, the best drum solo ever. "Moby Dick" live at the Royal Albert Hall from 1970.
