Jesup Driver Hurt in Rural Sumner Accident

A Jesup woman has been injured in a one-vehicle accident on an icy road in Bremer County.

It happened just before 3pm Monday (Dec. 11) on "Y" Avenue, south of Sumner.

60 year old Lynn Jeffers was driving north, when she lost control on an icy patch of road. Her vehicle struck the bridge guard rail, and rolled into the ditch.

Jeffers was taken to the Sumner hospital to be evaluated for apparent minor injuries.

There was considerable damage to her 2008 Saturn Vue.

The accident was investigated by the Bremer County Sheriff's Office.
