The University of Iowa women's basketball team took care of business with a 69-55 win over Illinois on Thursday, February 13, 2014.  It was the team’s third straight win, and moves Iowa to 20-6 overall, and 8-4 in Big Ten play.

Freshman Ally Disterhoft scored double-digits for her seventh consecutive start (24 at Ohio State, 15 vs. Indiana, 13 at Minnesota, 12 vs. Nebraska, 24 at Penn State, 11 vs. Nebraska, 13 vs. Illinois). Disterhoft also notched her second career double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds).

Iowa has had three or more players score in double figures in each of the last 25 contests, including four in the Thursday’s win over Illinois (Doolittle 16, Disterhoft 13, Melissa Dixon 11, Theairra Taylor 11).

Iowa was one point away from having all five starters score in double figures, as Samantha Logic finished with nine points, seven rebounds, and six assists, while not recording a turnover.

Next Up: Iowa is in a stretch where it plays three games in seven days. The Hawkeyes continue action at No. 23 Purdue on Sunday at 1 p.m. (CT).
