The news that Iowa State fans have been waiting for has finally arrived! For the first time in school history, the Ames campus has been picked to host ESPN College GameDay.

The network's signature college basketball pre-game show will air live from Iowa State on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, prior to the Cyclones’ home game with Kansas. The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. (Iowa time).

ESPN GameDay begins at 9 a.m. (Iowa time) on ESPNU. The show will continue at 10 a.m. on ESPN, with an evening edition leading into Iowa State’s Big 12 Conference showdown with the Jayhawks. Doors for the event will open at 7 a.m.

Iowa State and Kansas have combined to record a 21-4 mark to start the year and have been ranked in the top 25 every week of the 2014-15 season. Iowa State is rated 17th in this week's Associated Press poll, while Kansas is No. 12.

ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm boasts some new faces this season as analysts Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams join the returning duo of host Rece Davis and analyst Jay Bilas on the eight-week Saturday morning and evening program that originates from the site of ESPN’s Saturday Prime-time Presented by DIRECTV telecast.

Bilas will also serve as analyst for the game, alongside Dan Shulman and reporter Shannon Spake.
