Veterans' Day at the Iowa State Fair is Monday, August 15th as the Iowa State Fair will honor active and retired military.

The Iowa State Fair will honor active and retired military throughout the day with discounted gate admission, special displays and a parade on the Grand Concourse.

On 'Veterans' Day', Monday, August 15, active and retired members of the military with a military I.D. and their spouses will receive $8 gate admission from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Veterans' Day parade, an annual tradition featuring military bands, floats and more, will march down the Grand Concourse starting at 11 a.m. The US Navy Display and VA Welcome Home Booth will be set up on the Grand Concourse beginning at 9 a.m. Veterans' Day will also feature special patriotic programming with performances by the Iowa Military Veterans' Band and the 34th Army Band at the Susan Knapp Amphitheater.
