Iowa Mom Burns Infant Son’s Hand With Hot Coffee

A Council Bluffs woman is in jail after intentionally scalding her 10-month-old son.

Police say 36-year-old Rebecca Brahier was arrested Saturday after officials at Edmundson Hospital reported suspicious injuries to the little boy's hand and forearm. Investigators were told the child tried to touch Brahier's hot coffee several times before she placed one of his hands in the mug. Brahier has been charged with willful injury and child endangerment.
