The Iowa Hawkeyes moved to 2-0 in the Big Ten Conference play after beating the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Monday, January 5, 2015, 70-59.

Three Hawkeyes scored in double figures. They include: Aaron White (23), Gabriel Olaseni (18), and Jarrod Uthoff (15).

Gabriel Olaseni netted a career-high 18 points. He also recorded career highs in free throws made (12) and attempted (13).

"He's playing with such confidence offensively, with his free throw," Coach Fran McCaffery said about Olaseni. "It's just great to see. I mean, big 'and one' when we were struggling offensively."

Aaron White broke the school record for free throws made (524). Roy Marble previously held the record with 516 .

NEXT UP: Iowa returns to action on Thursday, Jan. 8, when it hosts Michigan State. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. (CT) on Mediacom Court inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

"They have a swagger, no question about it," Coach McCaffery siad about Michigan State. "They have a defensive style of play that keeps them in games if they're not shooting the ball well. They've got talented players. They played great tonight. Really well. We'll have to be ready for them"
