I can confidently say that I'm a good driver. I haven't been in an accident for over 20 years and haven't had a speeding ticket in almost 15 years. It also helps that I live in Iowa where, according to a new study by carinsurancecomparison.com, we're ALMOST the state with the best drivers.

Using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) study that focuses on fatal car accidents in the U.S. and their causes, carinsurancecomparison.com came up with the list of states with the worst and best drivers.

Iowa does very well. All 50 states and DC were included and out of 51 positions, Iowa ranks 48th. The higher the number the better the drivers. We're 3 from the top. Which directly affects car insurance premiums.
