I-380 Overpass Incident Under Investigation

Authorities are looking into an incident in which an object was tossed off an interstate overpass, piercing the windshield of a passing truck.

Buchanan County Deputies were called out at about 11pm Saturday, December 26th, to mile marker 49 on Interstate 380, near the Brandon Diagonal Boulevard.

The truck driver told officers that as he was driving south, under the overpass at the boulevard, something struck his windshield with enough force, that it broke through the glass and entered the cab of the truck.

No one was injured, but the windshield had extensive damage.

Deputies collected evidence, and continue to investigate.

Anyone with information about the incident, or may have observed a suspicious person or vehicle at the overpass the night of December 26th, is asked to contact the Buchanan County Sheriff.
