Hotel Employee Arrested for Embezzlement

The Cedar Falls Police Department recently arrested a hotel employee for stealing money from her employer.

33 year old Autumn Joy Wildebour of 32680 200th Street in Reinbeck, was arrested Tuesday on the charge of Theft in the 2nd degree. Wildebour was employed at the Super 8 Motel on Nordic Drive in Cedar Falls since 2011 as a part time employee and later as a manager. In March of 2015, the motel owner reported to the Cedar Falls Police Department that Wildebour had embezzled money from the business during the fall of 2014 and spring of 2015. An audit by the motel and an investigation by police was conducted.

Wildebour was charged with Theft in the 2nd degree, alleging that she stole over $4,200.00 from the business.

Theft in the 2nd degree is a Class D felony.
