Hartman Reserve Nature Center's Interpretive Buildings will close soon, but not forever.

August 19 will be the last day that the Interpretive Buildings at Hartman Reserve Nature Center will be open. The buildings will be closed during the remodeling project through Fall 2017. The trails will be open during remodeling, 7 days a week, from sunrise to sundown.

Hartman Reserve operations and staff will relocate to Black Hawk County Conservation Board Administrative Offices located at 1346 W. Airline Hwy. in Waterloo. Hartman staff will continue to offer educational programming and events, but at different locations during the remodeling project. The phone number for Hartman Reserve will remain as 319-277-2187. Please call this number with any questions.

The Friends of Hartman Reserve continue to fundraise for this project. If you are interested in contributing to this legacy project, or would like to increase your gift, please call 319-277-2187. The Friends of Hartman Reserve and the Black Hawk County Conservation Board are extremely grateful to the Cedar Valley community for their support of this important project!
