For the second time in a month, Gregg Allman has been forced off the road due to health issues. It was announced today (April 21) that he has pulled out of the last two concerts on his solo tour of Australia.

According to Jambase, Allman sustained a broken wrist shortly before beginning his tour and, while trying to perform through the pain, the condition got worse. As a result, he was unable to appear at his show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre today and will not play at the Forum in Melbourne on Wednesday. Allman is returning to the U.S. for treatment.

However, the concerts have not been canceled. Instead, the opening acts, Gov’t Mule and Gregg’s son Devon Allman, will simply play longer sets. Both venues are offering full refunds for anybody that wants one.

Last month, the Allman Brothers Band were forced to postpone the final four shows of their annual residency at New York’s Beacon Theatre because Allman was suffering from bronchitis. There has still been no word as to when those dates will be rescheduled.
