George Carlin is going to make you laugh from the grave! He was, and remains, one of the most recognizable comics and ideologists in the world.

He's one of my favorite comedians. He made me feel smarter and made me feel better about using the F-bomb. He also opened up a whole new world of comedy for me. It wasn't just a set up and punch-line. It was an idea and it blossomed from there. A description of something, then using words most comedians can't pronounce, he showed us why it's so ridiculous.

He died in 2008, but to coincide with his portrait being hung in the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, his website will be relaunched on March 27th and feature some RARE recordings.

One of the first recordings to be featured will be his performance at the 1972 Summerfest in Milwaukee where he was arrested for his "7 Dirty Words" bit.

RIP George.
