Four people are facing charges in connection with an armed robbery at a Waterloo pharmacy Tuesday night (February 10, 2015).

The hold-up occurred at Greenwood Pharmacy, 2104 Kimball Avenue. Officers responded to an alarm shortly before 9 p.m. and were told that two suspects had fled out the back door with an undisclosed amount of stolen money and prescription drugs.

Police immediately began searching the nearby neighborhood for two men, who were wearing dark clothes and had ski masks covering their faces when they entered the pharmacy. Authorities said both suspects were armed with handguns.

Shortly after the search began, police located and arrested two suspects in the neighborhood north of the pharmacy.

Authorities identified the men as Cody Alexander Plummer, 21, and Riley Augustus Mallett, 20. Both were taken to the Black Hawk County jail and charged with first-degree robbery.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested two other suspects in connection with the crime. K’von James Caine Henderson, 22, and Myles Davion Anderson, 16, were also charged with first-degree robbery.

The pharmacy hold-up remains under investigation.

Waterloo police were assisted in the search and investigation by the Black Hawk County sheriff’s officials, Hudson police and the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force.
