A former Waterloo man has died after being shot multiple times in Colorado.

The incident happened Saturday afternoon at an apartment complex in Denver, Colorado.

Residents in the building called police after hearing the gunfire, and spotitng 3 people running from the scene.

Responding authorities found 30 year old Dareon Tarbor laying on the ground with several gunshot wounds to his chest and arm. Witnesses tried to stop the bleeding with towels before EMT's arrived.

Tarbor was taken to a Denver hospital, where he died a short time later. No one else was injured.

Tarbo used to live in Waterloo; he still has family in the area, and his body has been returned to Iowa for burial.

No one has been arrested in the shooting, which remains under investigation by Denver, Colorado authorities.
