Former Hawkeye Penalized For Toilet-Themed TD Celebration

Damond Powell scored a touchdown for the Cedar Rapids Titans of the Indoor Football League Sunday night. But it's what happened afterwards that is getting attention.

Powell--who played for the Iowa Hawkeyes in 2013 & 2014--scored a 35-yard touchdown in the second quarter of Sunday's game versus the Arizona Rattlers, and proceeded to celebrate by pretending to poop out the football.

Unfortunately, this has been the highlight to an otherwise dreadful 1-14 season. Deadspin has a full video of the play...and the "crappy" post-score celebration.

Powell leads the IFL with 22 receiving touchdowns while playing for head coach Marvin McNutt, another former Iowa receiver, who starred at Iowa from 2008-11. The Titans were assessed a 15-yard excessive celebration penalty after the play. Let's hope that Powell at least washed his hands afterwards.
