Five Hurt in NE Iowa Crash

Five people have been injured in a rural Dubuque County accident. It happened just before 10pm Thursday on a county road near Epworth.

An SUV driven by 29 year old Marquita Robertson of Epworth, failed to negotiate a curve, went off the road into a ditch, and over an embankment.

Robertson and her four passengers were taken to Finley Hospital in Dubuque for treatment; a condition report was not available.

Robertson is being charged with failure to maintain control of the vehicle, and driving while suspended.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Dubuque County Sheriff, and Epworth police and fire departments.
