Fayette County sheriff's officials have arrested five people on charges connected to a theft investigation in northeast Iowa.

Suspecting that there was stolen property at 4957 "R" Ave., authorities executed a search warrant at the rural residence northwest of Oelwein just before 2:30 PM on Thursday (April 25, 2018). During the search, they seized a 2007 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail motorcycle that was reported stolen from Grundy County.

As a result, deputies took Jeremiah Larson, Jr., of Oelwein, into custody. Larson, 40, was arrested on charges of first-degree threft, possession of a controlled substance-third offense, and gathering where controlled substances are unlawfully used. He faces the possibility of 10 years in prison, if convicted.

According to officials, the theft investigation also resulted in four other arrests. Also taken into custody were Kristy Hall, 23, of Oelwein; Darren Peyton, 35, of Calmar; Sabrina Reisner, 30, of West Union; and Sean Reisner, 27, of West Union.

Officials said Hall had a warrant for failure to appear and a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, Peyton was arrested on a parole violation warrant-no bond hold, Sabrina Reisner was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and Sean Reisner was charged with driving while narred.

All five individuals were taken to the Fayette County jail.
