Fire Reported At Old Gas Station In Lamont

Buchanan County authorities are looking for the cause of an early morning fire in Lamont.

Fire crews were called out to battle the blaze just before 4 AM on Friday (Feb. 8, 2019). A former gas station on Pine Street was burning when they arrived.

Firefighters from Lamont, Dundee and Strawberry Point responded. Crews spent about two hours at the scene.

There was no indication of any injuries, or if any property of value was lost. The building had been an old gas station, but it's current purpose was not available.
