The Fayette County criminal who has been on the run since this morning has been located and arrested. According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office Facebook Page:

Tom Cannon 30 of West Union was taken into custody. Cannon was found in a trailer house north of Waukon where he had barricaded himself in the trailer. The Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Waukon Police Department and the Iowa State Patrol Officers assisted in talking him out of the trailer without incident. Cannon was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he is being held and more charges will be filed. Sheriff Marty Fisher would like to thank the public for their assistance with this incident.

A Fayette County Criminal is on the loose after cutting off his GPS monitoring bracelet.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, 30 year old Thomas Cannon of West Union was sentenced for 3rd Degree Sexual abuse. Cannon was supposed to return to the Fayette County Jail at 10:00 A.M. this morning (Monday, June 15th). He never showed up.

Earlier this morning, around 4:30 A.M., the Fayette County Sheriff's office was notified that Cannon had cut off his bracelet and was in violation of his sentence.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff's office, Cannon is likely driving a 2000 Cadillac STS with dealer plates. The vehicle is not registered.  Cannon could also be armed.

The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information about Cannon's whereabouts to call (563) 422-6067.

Cannon has also been charged with Escape from Custody on June 4th. That case is still pending.
