An Arlington man who was taken to the hospital after a farm-related accident Tuesday, now also faces meth charges.

At about 3pm Tuesday, the Fayette County sheriff was called to a rural Arlington residence in the 6,000 block of "J" Avenue, to look into a report of a suspicious, white powdery substance found in a grain bin.

An investigation found that the crystalized substance belonged to 59 year old Lyle Keding, who had been in a farm machinery accident earlier in the day.

Keding had been taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein.

After being released from the hospital, Keding was taken into custody on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and introducing contraband.

Keding was taken to the Fayette County jail, to be held until his initial court appearance.
