A Fairbank woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident that injured two other people in Bremer County.

Sheriff's officials said Donna Fratzke, 72, died after being ejected from the minivan she was riding in. The crash happened in the 3100 block of County Road C-33 (190th Street), southwest of Sumner, around 12:20 PM on Monday (July 16, 2018).

According to a press release, a vehicle driven by Janann Kramer, 62, of Fairbank, went out of control and rolled in the ditch. Kramer and another passenger -- Warren Cowart, 52, also of Fairbank -- both suffered undisclosed injuries.

Sheriff's officials said emergency crews transported all three people to the Waverly hospital, where Fratzke later died of her injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by Bremer County sheriff's officials. Deputies were assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Sumner Fire Department, SEMS Ambulance Service and Denver Ambulance Service.
