A Fundraiser For Iowa National Guardsman To Be Held In Waterloo

The Screaming Eagle will host a fundraiser to support a local group of National Guardsman that are participating in the Annual Bataan Memorial Death March in White Sands, NM.

A group of veterans from Central Iowa have been participating in the annual event, which honors the victims of the Death March on the Philippines during WWII, for seven years.The team relies on local groups and friends for sponsorship, as they do not receive any government funds to travel.

The event will be held Saturday, March 7th from 6 PM to 9 PM. Come out for raffle items and to support these veterans. The team will present information on the run and have the traveling trophy on display during this event. For more information call John Shannon at (515) 249-9358.
