The 10th Annual Iowa Irish Fest will be on August 5th - 7th in downtown Waterloo. This year's Irish Fest will be loaded with all sorts of events including a rugby tournament, highland games, Irish food, music and kids activities. Plus the festival will be adding an expanded cultural events tent, a dance workshop for kids, dueling pianos, and sheep herding!
One long-standing event the Irish Fest has included each year is the ShamRock N Run 5k Run/Walk. The streets along the 5k route will be closed on Saturday, August 6th approximately 8:30 AM -10:30 AM. The route covers Park Ave., 4th St. and 5th St. between Lafayette and Jefferson St.
Included in the race fee is a weekend pass into the Irish Fest, an exclusive T-shirt, a finisher medal, and beer and snacks at the end of the race. You can sign up online at www.iowairishfest.com.
