The East Iowa Storm are coming off the team's first win of the season, and they look to keep the momentum rolling this Saturday night (June 27). The Storm will host the Sugar Creek Shockers at Lyle Leinbaugh Field in Independence.

The Storm took the 27-8 won while on the road this past weekend when the faced the Central Iowa Bandits. The team now has a 1-3 record on the year.

A strong defensive effort helped the Storm keep the Bandits at bay. Birthday boy PeeWee Turner tallied nine tackles (five for a loss) and registered 1.5 sacks.

Quentin Williams and Nigel Alvarez helped out on offense each scoring a rushing touchdown. Quarterback Blake Johnson add another touchdown thanks tot he soft hands of Tomah Hall.

The Sugar Creek Shockers enter this weekend with a 2-1 record

This Saturday's game kicks off at 6:00 PM.
