Driver Cited For Bremer County Accident

A Vinton motorist is being charged with causing a two-vehicle accident in Bremer County.

The crash happened in the 1100 block of U.S. Highway 218 north of Plainfield shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday (May 5, 2016).

Deputies said a car driven by Makayla Westendorf rear-ended a car driven by Scott Schilling of Clarksville.

No one was injured, but there was considerable damage to the two cars.

Westendorf was cited for failure to reduce speed.

The accident was investigated by the Bremer County Sheriff's Office.
