Real estate developer and television celebrity Donald Trump is planning a visit to the Cedar Valley later this month.

The potential U.S. presidential candidate will be making a stop in Waverly to talk about education issues.

The speech is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on April 29, 2015, in Neumann Auditorium, located on the Wartburg College campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Trump's visit is sponsored by the Wartburg College Republicans, a student organization.

In March, Trump announced that he was launching a presidential exploratory committee, but has not officially entered the 2016 Republican race. The chairman and president of The Trump Organization and founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts also launched a presidential exploratory committee in 2010 for the 2012 election, but ultimately chose not to run.

Trump also is executive producer and host of “The Apprentice” and “Celebrity Apprentice” television programs that began in 2003. Both reality shows feature his signature line, “You’re fired!”

Wartburg College is not sponsoring the event and does not endorse candidates, but the school encourages political candidates to utilize its location for speeches and appearances.
