Yes. You did read that correctly. Roosevelt High School Synchronized Swim Club members (all freshmen or in 9th grade) hired a male stripper, as a joke, for the synchronized swim club's annual banquet.

According to the Des Moines Register, the school's code of conduct states that students involved in activities represent the school and themselves if they are at the school or away from the school.  Just the presence of illegal activity at a location where these students are violates that code.

There were no school officials at the banquet. Students and parents are the only ones who were present and one of the parents didn't know what was planned and ended up telling the stripper to leave and contacted the school.

By the way, it looks as if no laws were broken. The stripper stayed clothed too.

Currently, it's in the principle's hands now.

Hopefully, there is a lesson to be learned here.
