Deadly Accident Near Decorah

The Winneshiek County Sheriff is investigating a weekend accident that has taken the life of a Decorah man.

Shortly after 7am Saturday, a northbound vehicle driven by 60 year old Daniel Murray, went off Clay Hill Road, near Decorah. The vehicle then struck an embankment, located near the Upper Iowa River.

Murray was pronounced dead from his injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
